The Future of Foursquare

It’s quicker checkins (it can be time consuming to pull out your phone and wait for the application to load – especially if you have a iPhone G3 with the updated operating system) and more post checkin features likes tips and coupons.

Even better is the idea of recommendations and suggestions for “brands” and new places to visit based on previous checkins. Counterpoint: Foursquare users are early adopters and know what they like more than the population at large and this might not be a feature the user base is looking for or needs.
