Equinox Sponsored Post on Curbed

I don’t know how new a phenomenon this is but I like this sponsored post from Gawker Media’s real estate blog Curbed. I subscribe to Curbed in my RSS feed and at first thought it was their usual snark, ironic take on a new apartment building offering free Equinox membership. But as it turned out, it was an ad for Equinox’s new site — My Body, My Biography. The site contains stories from Equinox members on how the gym helped changed their life. It includes some intensely personal stories that are well told and the site is well executed. (Flash lives!) The content hits on the sixth of the Ten Hallmarks of Web Content that great web content is emotional.
